Buy a cheap fire and theft only policy and then when you have the tax, cancel your policy. You won't get back all your money but most of it. If you get insurance with Tesco, you can pay monthly without having to pay interest.

Tax A Car Without Insurance

The only way is to insure car then get your tax sell the car then claim your insurance premium back. If you sell within a day you'll probably only get 11 months back from insurance company. Certain companies used to let you insure for a month, i'm not sure if some still do. Good luck.

You can take out an insurance policy and get a cover note. Tax your car and then cancel insurance because most reputable companies have a 14 day cancelation policy providing you do not put in a claim in that time.

No, you can't. There is an insurance database so even trying to apply for Tax online will not work because the dvla's website checks the database before letting you tax the vehicle You can however, Sorn the vehicle for a short period of time, like a week for example while you get your insurance sorted, that way you vehicle is declared off the road and you will not need tax for that week.

You can't. And if you sell a car with tax on to someone unscrupulous, you are giving them the chance to not bother getting insurance for the duration of the tax disc, as that is often the only time it gets checked.

To tax a car you need to have a valid insurance and a valid M.O.T. certificate, if you do not have them, you cannot tax the car.
