Well, given that the United States is primarily a Christian nation and at present is being run by a born again Christian, I can see how a Christian xenophobe would make the assumption that you were targeting them as "haters." Of course this is incorrect as you did not specifically mention Christians as haters. But also try and consider the fact that their religion speaks to it being the only way to god and heaven. It is a form of sanctified chauvinistic and to the small mind that is incapable of looking beyond those particular words on a particular page, what you asked would look like an affront to the Christian country - both land and of the mind.
You are a reasonable human being, Spooky. Don't allow the unreasonableness of some to get to you. It just isn't worth it.

Nice to see you today. I don't see any word "christian" mentioned but you sure have lure some out & exposed their feelings.
Forgive them, we christian are just as imprefect as you, that why we align ourshelves to a saviour. Many christians at least those who are young in their understanding of Jesus have a tendency to feel superior, can't blame them coz they truly believe they got something special but they lack the inter-personal skill Jesus have.
Jesus himself hang around people who are not the in-crowd of the religious circle, we should respect anyone with sincere, honest & earnest heart regardless of their religon. Better that than hang around "christian/priestly hyprocrite" which JC shunned from.

I've seen your question... no mention of "Christian" at all.
Some people on here jump to conclusions especially when they think they know someone (that dude probably thought that since you're a well-known atheist you're implicitly refering to Christians as haters).
Its really just a matter of gross-misunderstanding backed up with presumptions.

I didn't see "Christian" in your question. As I Christian, I didn't really take offense to your previous question- but apparently someone did. Perhaps it's a Christian that has hatred for Atheists?? I think some Christians forget that Atheists are people who deserve respect. Jesus doesn't teach us to hate people. A genuine Christian should know that.
