I wouldn't phrase it the way you did, since I think that the reactionary hatred that some people express comes from fear of unknowns and manifests as racism much of the time, but even when it gets called by a different name it is still hatred of unknown people. And I try not to detest, because I don't find that to be a productive feeling for me. What worries me about reactionary people is that they tend to react instead of thinking. A little bit of thought could help with that fear that leads to hate. So I'm not picking a thing to detest from your multiple-choice question. Instead, I am expressing concern about the reactionary package deal.
I sometimes wonder if people realize how easy they can be to manipulate when they are reactionary. If- for whatever reason (others might have reasons; I don't) if I wanted to start riots in certain parts of the world, I know that I could do that by simply publishing a cartoon in a Danish newspaper or making any kind of unfair public statement. If reactionary people are one of the ingredients,, the recipe for social disorder is very simple.
Being a reactionary seems a very simple matter requiring little or no thought. Any animal could do it. NOT being reactionary is a little more difficult. That requires a human mind capable of thoughts to precede actions.

To those (sometimes) well-meaning but confused people who insist that immigration is a racial issue, I always ask: "Well, then, since you are absolutely certain ones position on immigration is all about race, what are your racial reasons for supporting this current flood?"

This question often causes confusion.

We believe that the confusion arises from our nation's unfortunate muddle-headedness on issues of race and culture. The current dogma of the "multicultural" ideology has convinced many Americans that "culture" and "race" are the same things. Just think of the endless paeans to multiculturalism in advertising, political speech, academia, etc.: they are always illustrated by a photo of people of different races.

This is dangerous and wrong.

While a black American and a white American might be different colors, they are equally American, i.e., they share the same culture.

Modern "multiculturalists" are the true racists when they elevate skin color to a place as primary as culture.

If we have racial problems today, how will our problems improve with a half billion people struggling to survive in an overpopulated country? Shouldn't we first resolve the racial problems we have instead of continuing with an immigration policy that will double our population and risk exacerbating an already increasing tendency in our country toward group identity politics?

We are not reactionaries as you call us. We are for progression...illegal immigration does not help in progressing anything. Also...my views are not based on hate, racism or xenophobia. My views as well as many other anti-illegals views are mostly based upon economics.

Fact of the matter is there are a lot of LEGAL immigrants in the US that are 'something' other than 'white' so your views are false. The US is an established country with opportunities to progress without the need for illegal immigration.

Um, I don't know where you get either hate or xenophobia from, my dispute is with the tolerance of illegal immigration, whether from eastern europe, asia, Mexico, or elsewhere. Legal ONLY, and can the rest of it. You can throw the race card or whatever else comes to mind, whatever trips your trigger/turns your crank/gets you through the night, but if you look closely at american demographics, you quickly discover we've got citizens, yes, CITIZENS from all over the world.

A major area of dispute when discussing illegal immigration is unfortunately Mexico and their cross-border practices, encouraging their CITIZENS to unlawfully enter the United States.
This is a practice that has to stop, and if they don't do so willingly, well, that's what the fence is for, that's what the Border Patrol is for, and they don't have to like it, they just have to stay on their side of the border. That's really it, in a nutshell, and yes, there are other countries whose people are trying to sneak into the United States, also, and I support 'equal opportunity' immigration enforcement. The laws have to be color-blind in order to be effective. But, this being the 21st century and all,
no more land being created, country going in debt, security, the whole trip, it really is time to take charge of the immigration process and make it run right. Part of that is turning people away that try to enter illegally...Mexico shouldn't get any special preference/privilege based on being next-door neighbors. Mexico's into us for billions, with designs on getting more. With 'friends' like that, who really needs enemies? LOL

Xenophobia has been linked to superiority by science although they now consider people that use this fictional word, as liberal geeks. Sucks to be you machacho! The Mexicans make it a racial issue dip "chit". Hate ...well maybe extreme anger, resulting in the oblivion of third world invaders. Hate is too vague. By the way the vast majority of Americans are on the dportation side of this no matter what color. lol!

I hate the way illegal Mexicans demand what they aren't entitled to and refuse to give anything in the first place.

neither its there over use of the exclamation mark that sometimes annoys me.makes me wonder if they really yell like that and if so that their blood pressure must be through the roof. You would think that their finger got stuck on the exclamation key or that there is some secret contest on who can use it the most times in a two or three sentence answer.
