My ex came over last night drunk and obnoxious and wanted to stay. I asked him to leave, then he became very abusive and hit me. I was stunned, as he has never done that before. This was just so out of character for him. I was scared and I told him to go home and sleep it off. Was I right here?

You did absolutely the right thing by staying calm.. You know what he did was wrong make sure it doesn't happen again.. And he should not be coming r to your house period, now that you are not seeing each... Look after ur self & ask for help...

Hun, perfect thing to do in a situation like this. If he ever does that again do the same never let him hit you again though. Good luck and good way to handle it!

Yes, but talk to him about it when he's sober and tell him you will absolutely not tolerate and physical abuse and the next time he even tries you are gone for good!

In my opinion, he has just lost any chance of ever getting back together with you. That's what I would tell him.

what you needed to do was call the cops!!! i mean he is your ex...so is not like it matter if he went to jail or no....right?....i mean because if he did it once he will do it again ....maybe you should do a restriction order against him ...wel good luck! and dont let this happen again :)
