Obviously, in the biblical sense we are talking about the parting of the Red Sea. But how viable is the scientific possibility of a Tsunami pulling (parting) the water, revealing the reef/reed sea, only to drown them when the water flooded back

do you mean with regards to the Exodus?

Most say the Red Sea; some say the Sea of Reeds.

Some say it was just a few thousands of Israelites.
Some say they just waded across about 4 inches of waterr covering the reeds. They say, therefore, no miracle.

However, it does still seem a miracle in that Pharaoh's armies drowned in those four inches of wate.

Whether is was the Red Sea or the Sea of Reeds, it was the Lord their God Who brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage and Who fed the multitudes through the 40 years of wandering in the Wilderness, during which even their clothes did not wear out.

The Red Sea mentioned in the Exodus is the same one you can find on the map. There are no reefs there and tsunamis cannot occur there because tsunamis can form only on vast bodies of water such as the Pacific Ocean. And if you think about it for a moment, a tsunami is hardly an opportunity for thousands of people to safely cross the bottom of the sea.

It's the Red sea, but I have heard that people are saying it was a mistranslation and is the Reef sea.....plus, they say (the non-believer's) that is the only way the Jew's could have crossed the sea since the Reef sea is only a few feet deep at that time of year that they would have crossed it. They use that as their explanation of the parting since they don't believe that God could have parted the Red sea.

It is neither. It was translated the Red Sea, but it is really the Sea of Reeds. Suf-meaning reed (the brush that grows out of the water)-was mistranslated to red.
