We want to paint our church name on our church bus window. I need to know what kind of paint is best to use and do I need to clean the window in any way first?

If You're dead set on painting it I would use enamel. To clean the window use white distilled vinegar first then use window cleaner.

Draw out what you want to paint either to the size you need or take a smaller version to a copy shop and get it enlarged then tape it to the inside of the glass. It'll make things easier ang go quicker.

You may want to consider going to a graghics shop and having decals made.

is it simple or complex kind of font you use as a church name?
any kind of oil based paint will do. you could also use spray paint with masking tape.
why don't you try cutting sticker. more suitable for vehicle window. sharp shape, fast, clean, remove able..... GBU
