Why are you worried anyway? If it was fake religion it would not be the fastest growing religion in the world. Only ignorant people like you won't go and make research, stop reading those hate sites man! all the moon-god claims and stories...

But it's not fake. Not in the sense of people taking it seriously, and taking guidance from religious leaders, and believing -- or at least feeling obliged to believe -- what they are told in church or temple or whatever. Ask any politician: a religion is a group of people who are likely to all vote the same way most of the time. That power alone is important.

It does not really matter whether the religion is "true" or not: it is powerful. Think about that.

Religion is the Opiate (drug) of the People.

Just like Drugs can make you FEEL Better, Religion can make you FEEL Better.
Won't get you to Heaven though.

Believing Who JESUS Said HE was----will make you FEEL the BEST and GET you to HEAVEN.

And, no hang-overs and dosen't cost you a Thing (execpt getting Rid of the Things that are Trying to Kill you) and Gives you LIFE.
And, you get to go to Heaven when all of This Mess down here is over.

Because it is a barometer of what kind of thinking is happening or in some cases not happening in the world. Based on fact or fantasy, religions and religious leaders have an impact on our government and our economy. If more liberal (read tolerant) faiths are growing, then our outlook is brighter. If more conservative (read intolerant) faiths are growing, our outlook looks more grim and filled with conflict.

Misery loves company? Safety in numbers?

Isn't this the same "high" that people get when the candidate of their choice wins an election? Is this not the same motivation that makes someone vote for a particular candidate when it becomes obvious that they are going to win given the pole numbers?

Bottom line - everyone wants to be on the winning team.
