if you are interested in studying at home why not try a short course especially designed for adults. you can learn at your own pace, and will have excellent tutorial support. the website with contact details is below

I think ICS is okay, but I have no personal experience. I think you are better served to think about a community education course from a local school district or evening college course 1 night a week. You get 2 benefits instead of just 1 - study plus a night away from the house.
