NO, But he decides what one lives, to finish doing God's will, we all have a reason why we are here for God's purpose, and when were done doing what it is God wants, then God would take us.

Yes. God knows the exact time, place and how a person will die.

This comes in the scope of predestination and there is very important point to be considered here, which should clear a very common misconception.

Lots of people question that God already knows everything, then why create us or what is the purpose etc.

Note that we as humans think that predicting the future correctly is something amazing. As we are entangled in time, at every instant, we are moving into the future and putting more time into our history bag.

God is NOT entangled in time, He has created time. Time is a creation as well, how could God be a part of his creation. This implies that there is no such thing as past, present or future for God, for high and above is He than everything anyone associates (as partners) with Him. So when it comes to God, automatically, the importance of "predicting" is weakened as God is not entangled in time.

Moreover, contrary to common thinking, we don't do what God has destined for us to do, rather, because God's knowledge is complete, He knows before hand what we will do, and He has all that written, the predestination.

Are you forced by God at any point in your life while making a decision? No, you have the Free Will, you have a choice. Because you have a choice, then what matters is your intention because its not necessary that what you intended to happen will happen.

The set of right choices has been presented over time by different Prophets (peace be on all of them). Their mission was same, with some modification as far as minor issues were concerned, which is a requirement, because we as humans are entangled in time, and time changes. Whats important to think about is that, what is that teaching which is timeless, which when applied to current day, or years in the future, would still keep the world from major problems.

If you think, ponder, read and study you will conclude its Islam. Again, don't come up with responses that show your ignorance, by basing them on what you have HEARD, rather than what you have LEARNED on your OWN.

I hope it clarified somethings.

God said that if we would honor our parents in the LORD, we should have long life.

The wags of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life, through faith.

Sometimes people die early because of personal, environmentat or other persons sins.

Also when there is a judgment on a land, like a sunami, God knows where every one is when it hits. God warns & some listen and some don't and some are just walking in rebellion.

Marice. Life was cut shorter after the Tower of Babel.

According to the Bible -- yes. Jesus said that not even a sparrow dies unless it is God's will.

In response to the the parrot, yes this opens the door to many difficult questions, such as why did this good person have to die young before he could contribute to society, and why does this bad person live a long life when all that he does is drain society of anything good, and what about he people who died in the tsumani, or on 9/11, or all of the babies who die, etc.

Just because God is complex and difficult to understand does not make him mean or indifferent, however. This is why God values faith, I suppose. God is too complex for any of us to ever fully understand. Can we trust God to always do the right thing, even though we cannot always understand what he does?

--------------------------------------------

[Jesus said:] "So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

I believe the law of physics decides when a human dies. If we die of natural causes its natural-so in a sense that is decided by God. When we die because of smoking or drinking heavy or any artificial death-both yourself and God has decided to die. Buut when you are murdered-that is not decided by God because a murderer cannot think for God and call it God's fate. It is sheer murder-decided by the hunter.

As far as how long we can live given good health ect.

Yes!

Last I checked or heard

The life limit after the flood of Noah was set somewhere around 120 years

That kinda sucks.

I would of liked to live to be close to a 1000 like the people in the Bible.

The safest answer to that question is "No," because if you say "Yes," that opens the door to all sorts of difficult questions: "Why did God allow people to die in 9/11?" "Why did God allow people to die in the Holocaust?" et cetera et cetera.

I think so, I mean He is all-knowing. He determines the course of our lives. It's just our decision how to live our lives given our limited time in this realm i guess.

Don't you think he has better things to do than to control death.

Can't say for sure. When you die, if he is there, go ask him. I think only the dead may know...if they even DO know.
