WAKEUP......anyone who bashes atheists is welcome to answer. I found the message you left for me. By all means, bash away. I'm looking forward to this.

cleverg..the Haters know who they are, but they won't admit it and so they won't answer.

I purposely directed this to anyone bashing Atheists. I chose the word Hater because I am still receiving hate mail from a question I posed 2 days ago.

Kiki-la...not at all. I'm just curious as to the reasoning behind it. Note that I am receiving no real answers. That says it all.

Kerilynn...very well, thank you. I know you are not a "hater". You are a very nice lady whom I've enjoyed talking to.

shojo....only those who bash others would be considered a "hater." I don't recall you ever doing that.

a delphic oracle...none taken or inferred. You are most certainly not a "hater" and I consider you the epitome of patience.

Hello,Spooky. The first thing I want to say is that I am most definitely not a hater.Anyone who says they are a Christian,or of any other faith, should never resort to hate mail.Even if I weren't a Christian,I could never do that, because I'm not that sort of person.People who do that sort of thing are not only shaming themselves, but they are shaming their religion.I can understand why Atheists are turned off by that kind of attitude. But,please understand,we are not all like that.Every group of people have their "bad seeds",but we shouldn't all be "bashed" for it.
With that said, you are right.Other than our differences in beliefs,we are no different. We all have families we love and would do anything for.We all have problems in our lives we struggle with. And we all have our own opinions which make us the unique people we are.I do not hate anyone who believes differently than I do.They are entitled to their own beliefs. And there is another way that we are the same. You are strong in what you believe, and you aren't afraid to voice your opinion.I,too am very strong in what I believe, and I'm not afraid to voice my opinion.Just because we believe differently doesn't make either one of us bad people, and it doesn't make either of us "haters." What it does make us is people who live and stand by what they believe in,regardless of what people think of us.Neither of us should be faulted for what we feel to be right.
In summary,I can't change your mind, and you can't change mine.We will each continue to ask and answer questions according to what we believe, and we each deserve respect for it.

Well, my penultimate question was an invitation to British Atheists. My impression as an American, is that there is less rancor (rancour?) between British atheists and believers than there is between American atheists and believers.
Yes, the British seem to recognize as you do, the OBVIOUS truth, that atheists and believers are cut from the same bolt of cloth. Or drawn out of the same bowl of Primordial Soup. Or..whatever.

Would sure enjoy hearing your two cents on the matter, even though you may not be British.

I don't hate anyone, especially based on a person's religious preference. Yes, there are people who I don't like, but that's purely based on that person's individual actions. Everyone has the right to follow a religion of their choice or to be an atheist. I've decided not to practice religion. That doesn't make me a bad person. There are aspects of Christianity that I believe in and there are some that I don't. Therefore it would be hypocritical of me to be Christian if I don't believe in the teachings 100%.

I doubt you're much different from me. I put on my pants one leg at a time. I brush my teeth after I wake up. I take a shower every day. I kiss my husband when he leaves for work. I put my kids' colorings on the fridge. I balance my checkbook and cry when it doesn't balance, or when there's too much month at the end of the money. I try to eat healthy, but sometimes that Death By Chocolate ice cream screams my name. I enjoy a nice glass of wine with my supper sometimes. But, I am a Christian, I believe I am going to heaven when I die or Christ returns, whichever happens first. I'm not ashamed of my beliefs, and I stand my ground when they're challenged. I get called a "Bible-thumper" and a "right-wing-nutter". So, who are you referring to as a "hater"? Christians, or non-Christians?

I guess if you are getting hate mail to then there is not much differance except the obviously disagreed upon points. If I could I would stop the ??chritians?? who act mean spirited and there is a way set out in scripture and I would use it if one I knew who they were and two where they go to church. I will review your questions and confront those I find with step one.

The only differance between a sinner and a Born of God man or woman
is Our Faith in Jesus to save us.(Gods Grace)
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I'm not sure I can answer this - as a born-again atheist, (LOL!!) I don't know if I count as a hater... but I do admit to hating most of what I see here on YA, and being relatively vocal about it...

Haters?-From my point of view, not very many hate. Anyone can get really, really angry but I would think it takes a special kind of idiot to still be angry after they heard the other sides tale/point of view (attn: all you Xians who say atheists are hateful...whatever)
we're not different, only a little more aware of reality

If your idea of Christians is 'haters' then that shows how much you don't understand.

and DJ I feel the love each time your pres leads the rally in a chorus of 'death to America, death to America, death to America.....'. But I also feel for Muslims caught in the middle and want peace not war.

Oh then you don't mean Christians because the real thing Christians resist hating (verbal retaliation very tempting though).

You are no different. Please don't be offended by my former stupid question. I was once an atheist too. I was rather pessimistic while I was in my skeptical stage so that is why I was thinking that. I think atheists can be good people and bad people but people just like everyone else.
