Then how do you reconcile your belief with the scientific findings that homosexuals have distinctly different brain make-ups as compared to heterosexuals? Also, what about the animals that have been found to display homosexual behavior?

And before the accusations start pouring in, I would like to say that I am not an atheist, Satanist, etc (not to pin a stigma on those things or anything). I just cannot ignore the findings of modern science.

I'm not comparing homosexuals to animals. I was merely pointing out that some animals have displayed homosexual behavior (and have actually refused to mate with the opposite sex), and asking the question of if some of them might be naturally gay, then could some humans be as well. We have learned a lot about human behavior by observing animals---learning about the nature of the homosexual brain should be no exception, and should by no means be considered insulting to anyone.

And I am aware that science has shown that repeated activity can change neural processes in the brain. If anyone is trying to suggest that this is the case with homosexuals, I must ask this question: Why would people go to so much effort to be homosexual? Why would they go to so much effort to make themselves be a way that would cause them to attract so much criticism and hatred from those around them? Something about that doesn't seem logical to me. If that they really are teaching themselves to be that way, they must have REALLY strong desires to break God's rules. If they want to break His rules, why not do something more popular, like steal a case of soda or fraud the IRS?

And though I shouldn't have to say this, because it has been said hundreds of times, I will say it again. NO ONE is saying science is infallible. I don't think any reasonable person would say that. That is why scientists are constantly doing research--they want to learn more about their fields, and they accept that some things may not be right.

Where did I ever say that homosexuals were not people like me? I thought it was obvious that this question was one in their defense (to a degree, since I don't have all the answers).

A lot of gays have children from previous marriages because it takes some of them a long time to accept and submit to their homosexual tendencies. Now, you could argue that these tendencies are immoral--but I have my doubts that they are.

I am a pagan, but used to be a Christian and have read the bible many times over. As a pagan my religion does not condemn homosexuality and it does not matter to me one way or the other. I have friends who are homosexual and I care about them the same as I do my straight friends, but this is a Christian question and a bible one. So from the viewpoint of the bible homosexuality is a sin which will land the practicing homosexual in hell. It does not matter what science says or does not say, but if God is real and there is only one and the bible is true, then it is a sin because God said so. Man cannot override God.

Why do homosexuals want to serve a God who openly condemns them and they feel if they can find a church that will accept them then they are fin, but God said it in the bible so why don't they go to religions like paganism has that accepts them as they are without judgment?

Scientific findings have also shown that any activity repeated over and over, such as riding a bike, produces new neural networks in the brain, and thus, changes the structure of the brain. It stands to reason that a homosexual who is active in their pursuits would have a different brain make-up.

Animals follow their base instincts. Why should humans? Aren't we supposedly a little more evolved than dogs?

So now we say science is infallible? Many things have been proven through science and then disproven later. Why does everyone sweat the homosexuals anyway? If indeed God wants them to burn in Hell for their sexuality, then it will be His decision to make and not ours. They are human beings with thoughts and feelings just the same as the rest of us. As long as they are not pushing their sexuality down your throat you should have no problem relating to them on the common ground of humanity.

Then you must have heard the news it's actually a choice for some people (Anne Heche ring a bell?). I'm neither here nor there now. And please, animals will swing at whatever comes. Do homos a favor and not compare them to animals.

The "sin" would be to deny your sexuality. Homosexuality is not "sinful".
