...which had a coloured plastic circle on the back? if so what was the circle for?

Umm, vaguely. Weren't they always either orange and smooth, or dirty light grey colour and slightly textured? As to circle on the back, that evades my memory. I do remember scratches on them were fun to pick at if you were bored.

Ha ha, yes my friend i do remember these very chairs, i also remember if you farted how loud they came out due to these chairs.

I'm so old that when i was at school chairs hadn't even been invented.

Come to think of it, neither had school!

try sitting on them when you are an adult especially when you are working in a nursery
