i currently take paxil for panic disorder and have noticed my heart rate has slowed down a good bit.. my resting pulse is usually now around 57.. i was having palipitations before starting , now almost none.. i have been taking the paxil for a little over a week, is this normal?

57 is Normal...sorta.
60-100 for adults.

40-60 for very well conditioned athletes.
If they are using it for anxiety, its going to be a downer, so yes, thats normal.
2 suggestions-call a Pharmacist. Sometimes they can help, sometimes not.
other, call your docs nurse. She will know!!

i dont think thats normal for paxil but 57 is extremely low. normal is 60-100 below that should get checked. see a doc and fast
