Possibly they just like the label of race attached to their establishments.

The term "paki" is offensive to Pakistanis. To them it is a racial slur, so can you see why calling something a "paki shop" would offend them? And how is "paki shop" the proper name for anything?

A 'paki shop' is not the correct name for any shop. You are trying deliberately to be insulting and infammatory. Why not call it the 'corner shop' if that's where and what it is?

How about calling a shop run by white people a "whitey shop"? I believe that calling a shop a name based on race and ethnicity is kinda racist, if you ask me. People shouldnt care about the color of the person who is behind a counter of a store they patron. A blackie shop?

why does the shop have to be called such a name because of the nationality or race of the owner ? why not just call it a shop as you would any other ? Are you offended that a foreign looking national owns that shop ( he might be British Born) and you think he/she shouldnt own it ?

How do you figure that's a proper name, because you said so?! Obviously if you feel thats a correct name for anything than the one with the problem is you and people like you are the reason there are so many stereotypes as it is!! Good job! (note sarcasm please)
