Christ was not Jesus' last name. Christ is the Greek word for the Hebrew word Messiah. The culture of that time did not use last names the way we use them today.

Christ is the English form of the Greek word Χριστός (Christós), which means literally The Anointed One. The word was originally used to translate the Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ (Mašíaḥ), that is Messiah.

Depends on which Mary you are referring too. If it is Jesus mom , no last name is mentioned

Mary (mother of Jesus)

According to the New Testament, Mary (Judeo-Aramaic מרים Maryām "Bitter"; Arabic مريم (Maryam); Septuagint Greek Μαριάμ, Mariam, Μαρία, Maria; Ge'ez: ማሪያም, Māryām; Syriac: Mart, Maryam), was the mother of Jesus of Nazareth, who at the time of his conception was the betrothed wife of Saint Joseph (cf. Matt 1:18-20, Luke 1:35). According to non-canonical works, her parents were Saint Joachim and Saint Anne. According to the Gospel of Luke, Mary, a virgin at the time, learned from the angel Gabriel that she would conceive Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.

Mary is the subject of much veneration in the Christian faith, particularly in the Roman Catholic Church and Orthodox Church, and is highly regarded by Protestants and Muslims. The area of Christian Theology concerning her is known as Mariology. The feast of the nativity of Mary is celebrated in the Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Anglican Churches on 8 September. The Orthodox and Catholic Churches also celebrate many other feast days in honour of Mary

Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene is described, both in the canonical New Testament and in the New Testament apocrypha, as a devoted disciple of Jesus. She is considered by the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican churches to be a saint, with a feast day of July 22. Her name means "Mary of Magdala", after a town on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. The life of the historical Mary is a subject of ongoing debate.

You must be Catholic? Only Catholics care enough to ask....she was merely a vessel. She was NOT the Christ....The Savior, The Messiah. She is NOT to be revered or placed above God or His only Son. She is NOT the mother of God as Catholics like to worship her....again, she was just, and ONLY the vessel. It could have been anyone, and that is NOT that important, The child she gave birth to is important......Think about it, she was not even important enough to give a last name to! Only known as the mother of JESUS, and YES, that was important and a blessing from God to be that servant vessel, but that is it! Why do Catholics put her so high? They have made her an idol and shall be judged for that....

there are no last name being used during their time, mary is just plain mary, the wife of joseph the carpenter. also, they being called with their father or mother's name and title, like jesus, son of joseph the carpenter, or jesus of nazarene, or jesus, son of mary.

with mary, she can be called as mary, mother of jesus christ, the messiah. i think to distinguished her from other mary born that time and age, they add information to identify their selves against other..

I don't believe they had last names then, you were Mary of nazarene, or Jesus of nazareth. I think last names come later in History. Alexander the Great and so one.
