Drinking does in fact make you do things you wouldn't normally due to the fact that it lowers your inhibitions when consumed in a quantity relative to your tolerance. Your sense of judgment and short term memory can be greatly affected based upon how much you drink and how high your tolerance is.
Ok, so minus the scientific stuff, alcohol doesn't make you forget anything. All it does is make you not care about your issues for a little while, while possibly making them worse in the process. Everyone sobers up sometime, and the longer you wait, the more it hurts.
Now if your talking about keeping a steady level of intoxication for the rest of you life...then maybe, just maybe, you have found the way to forget.

Yep..If you drink too much alcohol, like an alcoholic ..your brain cells die..and you are never the same..you are forgetful, you are not a warm person, you are usually selfish and all about you..that's how alcoholics are..they have no regard for anyone..they are heartless.
and you become stupid over time cause you lack brain cells..

well it does acts as hallucinogen , so when you loose your inhibitions, you do things that normally you would not do. That makes you forget, I think you only forget for the moment you are drinking and then go back to your problems and worries when you are up, and if are referring to a "black out" meaning you got so drunk ( intoxicated) that you passed out and don't remember not even where you at, well then drinking is not for you, unless you can control your self while at it.
