'Maida' is fine-wheat-flour and 'aata' is wheat flour slightly less finely grained than maida..Anyone knows if that makes a difference in digestion, absorbtion, bowel movement?

I think it has got to do with the fiber content, -particle size of the fiber. The larger size of the aata fiber particles allow for better digestion.
Over grinding of grain also results in a loss of the 'good' stuff in the grain.

aata is healthier than maida because it is less fine and is good for the stomach.it is not absorbed by the body as fat.
