Probably because Jesus rose from the dead so they used his old grave site for someone else since it was a good site in a prime location.

John 19:38 After these things, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away the body of Jesus. 39 And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. 40 Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen strips with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been buried. 42 So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews' Preparation Day, because the tomb was near.

20:1-17 On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him."

Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. And the two together were running, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. And stooping to look in, he saw the linen strips lying there; however he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb; and he saw the linen strips lying there, and the facecloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen strips, but apart from them, having been rolled up in one place. Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. But Mary stood outside facing the tomb weeping.

Therefore as she was weeping, she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him." And having said these things, she turned back and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You carried Him away, tell me where You put Him, and I will take Him away." Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' "

Because we will never know the full truth about about "jesus" and if he ever existed at all.The strife and problems in the worlds religions are caused by the worship of a giant black meteorite in the middle east.Strange but true.As far as i see it the bible was meant to pass lessons of spirituality and life to further generations.not to be taken literally as a history book!Conciousness is in all humans on the planet, all races and all creeds. Not in a book or a grave.

The tomb where Jesus lay following his crucifixion is located in Jerusalem, beneath what is now the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Of course, there are no remains to be found there, as He was resurrected on the third day.

Actually first off Christ isn't a myth..there are doccuments that contain him in a historical aspect..please get educated...

Ok now to your question... He was risen...his body was gone. With that in mind it's hard to find a grave like that.

YES! As much as some say no to this question, they are wrong.. The bible and our God says no graven image.. Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of ANYTHING that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

I guess you don't read the bible... and I am not being mean by saying it. It is just a basic teaching. Jesus was resurrected and moved out of the tomb loaned to Him. The tomb site has no relevant place. As for his burial shroud....I say it was kept by someone, then lost thru time. I can't believe it is 'found' by a certain faith and announced.....a ploy for advertising?

Because he conquered the grave and there was nothing to find except the shroud which has been dragged across the world.

Becouse He isn't in the grave! He arose! But if you go to the Holy Land you will find where He was buried. They have made it into a shrine.
