Platelets are about 2 microns. I had to look it up, even though I donate platelets every 4 weeks. They take blood out of one arm, skim off the platelets, and put the rest back in the other arm.

The resulting product is a rich golden color.

They are about 1.5 to 3.0 Microns or about the size of your fingernail.
