Ok, so I met this guy at school a few days ago, and we've emailed back and forth for a while. We decided to hang out over the weekend, and he asked if I wanted to see a movie. I said yes, and then later on he told me he liked me. I like him, too, and told him so. If we're going to a movie, and he's paying, and we both like eachother, does that automatically mean it's a date? He's just called it hanging out....
Also, what do I wear?

If he just called it hanging out, that's what it is. Don't be too disapointed though, he's probably just saying that to keep from his embarassment (not with you, but if you think it's not a date). Also you should wear tight jeans and a camisole, forget the sweater or coat at home and ask him to warm you up! :-)

It's pretty obvious that you guys like each other, so I think it probably is a date. He might say it is just hanging out because you haven't officially admitted that you want to be a couple, but you like each other. Just because you go on a date with someone doesn't mean you are dating, you can just be friends and go on dates. It's cool though, at least you know how each other feels about the other. You should wear something casual but chic. So that the outfit is saying, you look nice and feel comfortable at the same time. You don't want to get too dressed up or dress too revealing, you just want to look really nice. So that it catches his attention, but at the same time he still respects you.

I think he just wants to hang out to see if you have enough in common to maybe start dating. Don't advance the relationship by calling it a date if all he wants to do is hang out. Casual clothing would be fine since it's not a date.
