My name is Ashley (pronounced ASH -- LEE) and i want to know how to spell my name in arabic. I would like to get my name tattooed in arabic on my arm.

well .. Ashley is spoken in arabic like in english (as u said ASH-LEE)....
it's written in arabic أشلي
joy or happiness is pronounced in arabic as : (soroor) or (sa'ada)...
it's written as : soroor سرور
sa'ada سعادة

the first letter has a curved thing on it, sort of a soft mirrored "s"
the second has 3 dots on it

note: the sound a'a is not present in english..it is a sound coming from the back of the thought..I can't describe it more....lol
the letters, specially how many dotes present aren't clear...if I could just increase the font size!!!!! and there are alot of decorative fonts (calligraphy)..this one is not that good...
