plug ur IPOD... open it up from your hard drives , not on itunes. once u open the files , copy them to any folder you want, The go to itunes and ad that folder to ur library :) , that s how i did it once. SO , go to my computer/ and try to find ur ipod there.

IF not all the files (music files) appear on your ipod folder, then change your folders prperties on tools...on files options make sure u highlight " show hidden files" , i forgot that part.

don't open iTunes.
Plug in your iPod. You should be asked what you want to do with it... choose the option that allows you to see the files on it.
Your iPod is just like a hard drive so you should be able to see all the songs and just copy them into a folder.
If you have iTunes open when you plug your iPod in, it will update and everything will be lost.

I don't think you can get all your stuff back. When you do have it on your computer, you are supposed to back it up so when it breaks down you still have everything. It doesn't work either if you plug your ipod into your computer because then it'll change all the songs on your ipod to the songs that are on your computer (which I am assuming is currently none). Basically you have to re-do everything.
Sorry :-[ I hope everything works out!

properly, the manually importing songs is the answer on your subject. despite songs you prefer to "delete", in basic terms uncheck them and click on "Sync/replace iPod" from the report menu. That way, they are nonetheless on your iTunes yet are deleted off of your iPod. First whether, verify your iPod is switched over to lead. stable success

Call iTunes tech support. You get one free call and after that, you will need to pay for tech help.

Or go to the support forums on www.apple.com.
