As a hairdresser, I see this quite often. Grey hair is a loss of melanin in the hair, that which gives it color. Loss of melanin is part of the aging process. Yes you are only 14 but 14 years old to your scalp is old enough to start aging. Premature grey, which is what you have, may be genetic. There is possibly someone in your ancestry who went grey at a very early age too. Taylor Hicks went grey at an early age too.

That's not unusual... just because you have two doesn't mean like in a year you are going to be gray head... ask some of your family members if anyone in the family went prematurely grey... have a friend to sit you down once a month and check for them and pull them out... a lot of people put a few blonde streaks through their hair when they get so many that pulling them out is an impossible job... don't worry... hope this helped!!!

Getting gray hair is almost 100% genetic. Some people get it early, some get it late. There's not much you can do about it, unfortunately. It's not related to stress or things like that.

Yes, I agree with Penny M...I myself had a thyroid infection a year ago and that interacted with my pituitary gland which caused a drop in melanin in some strands of the side of my hair (near my temples) to go gray...You might want to get that checked out...It's either that, or its pretty much hereditary. :)

All people get grey hair (usually later in life), but a few people start to go gey earlier. This doesn't mean you'll be completly grey by 16. Maybe you'll just get a few. Don't worry about it. If worse comes to worse, you can color it.

don't worry about it, that same hair dresser can dye all those gray hairs too. my friend has a full head of gray hair and he is only 22...looks fine to me, if you have that issue and you hate it then dye your hair, simple.
