THE jester,
Yes. I've read a few different versions of Enoch. Esdras is facinating and could have valid End Times prophecy, I have read Tobit, Jasher, Jubilees, and a part of Judith so far. There are probably more, I just can't remember them at this time.

If you want to believe in the bible i would suggest only reading the canonical books. If you want to beleive in christianity, you are bettter off to beleeive that the books IN the bible are there because of god's hand in the early church's decision process, and that the other books have no claim to biblical truth or inspiration from god.

I suppose you are referring to the Apocrypha. I have thought about reading them, but I decided to wait until I know everything there is to know about the 66 books of the regular Bible I already have. Somehow, I don't think I will ever get around to the Apocrypha.

I have read the bible, I have read Tales of mystery and imagination by e.a. poe, I read books by Charles Bukowski...
so why not read those other biblical scriptures too?
I read most of them BUT: I dont let them gain control of my believes.
I believe in the bible as it is and all we need to know can be foud in the bible and nowhere else.

I've had them for yrs and skimmed through it only twice. Every writing couldn't fit in the Bible plus all the basics are covered.

Ive read some of them. I asked for links to find them in a question last week. Some of the left out stories are even more unbelievable than the ones left in the bible. No wonder they were left out.

There are no "left-out" books of the Bible. Everything is in there that God wanted in there.
