just looking for some ideas. i want a dragon that will wrap around my back, or maybe the animal that make up the parts of the dragon... something like that. i want the work to be "japenese" inspired in style, and flavor.
real answers please. if you don't like tattoos don't waste your time writing to me.
looking for places online or book scources to find this type of art. getting started on the piece january 2, 2007!

Alright, I'd say go to a tattoo artist. Just google pictures(japanese tattoos, horimono, japanese tattoo designs....etc), look up tattoo sites, print stuff out, and fully explain what you want to your artist to give 'em a good idea. that's probably the best way to get a custom piece if ya don't draw..

if you really are serious about it visit a good tattoo studio. While you can get ideas on the net a good tattoo artiest can work with you to design exactly what you want. It's not just the design it's knowing how it will work with your skin type.

there are many sites online that have tattoo art...try looking up tattoo sites, then searching for dragons on those sites...or search Yahoo! images and see what comes up when you put in 'dragon'...
Good luck...tattoos are very personal and for the money and discomfort, not to mention you'll have it a long time, you should get exactly what you want...

You can go on google and type in "Japanese tattoos" or " Dragon tattoos" or "tattoo flash" and see if you can find anything you like.
Other than that you can just go to your local tattoo shop and talk to one of the artist there. Let them know what your looking for and they will be glad to draw you something up. If you don't like it you can have them change it. Good luck with your Tattoo! :-)
