i can understand how everyone has their ups and downs. what bothers me, though, is how for some people it just never works out; so no happy moments (or very few), a constant struggle, pain, you name it

(please don't write that everyone has their good and bad moments 'cause in some cases that's not so true.)

thanks

Happiness is the privilege of the privileged. Throughout most of history, and for most of the world still today, happiness is not something that's considered a right, or something that's owed us. Life is a struggle and it is pain--more so for most than for those of us who can afford to sit around and wonder why we're not happier.

It's depression and some depressions are medical that can only be controlled by medications. If these spells go on for long periods you might need to have them checked out. Otherwise try some of the things that can lift your spirits. Are you in a rut? Or is your life going lousy what can you do to get out of it. Go for walks, the doctor told my mom it's hard to be depressed when you are excercising. Help others or do anything to give yourself a boost. I will be hoping that you will come out of this. ( for me it's God )

according to some there may be more bad than good in a person's life as they are repaying karma from a past life and are willing to have a less happier life now in order to obtain a better life the next time around.

Life is what you make it yourself, and you can for the most part change things for the good. Sometimes bad things happen to us all though, and unavoidable. Maybe some people who are getting excessive bad luck are not helping themselves enough to change it.

Jesus Christ!

He's peace in the midst of the storm.
Like a hurricane or tornadoe; There's peace in the center.God the same way; you might have all kinds and sorts of trouble swirling around you;but if you stick with fait, stick with prayer, and stick with Jesus;he will give you peace while your in the storm, and he will help you find your way out of it.

But it is true in 99.9% of the cases.

Life is what we make of it.
