I have a dog and we buy him a dog food that is hard. He won't eat it. I don't think he likes hard food. What do i do. Is there a type of dog food that has a mix of hard and soft dog food?

Why not feed him real food.
Go to the butcher's shop and ask if he has any bones. Dogs love to chew on a bone.
Get some meat scraps from the butcher too. Probably cheaper than paying for a can, and certainly far more healthy than canned stuff. Have you ever researched what goes into commercial dog food?

Yes, there is stuff like Kibbles and Bits, that has soft chunks in the hard. It is TOTAL crap though. It takes CHEMICALS to keep the nugget soft, and that is what the dog would be eating. Prolonged ingestion of the chemical can cause kidney problems.
That type food also has a LOT of artifical colors and sugar. Not good for the dog. They LIKE it because it has the flavors and sugar, but it would be like eating Lucky Charms instead of Grape Nuts.

Soft food is bad for the teeth. The only companies that make mixed or soft food (not canned) are poor companies. OK well theres a few that make the soft but they are VERY expensive. The only soft food good for your dog is raw. Just keep feeding him dry. Eventually he will eat it.

You'd have to mix it together yourself I would think. I don't know of any dog food with wet food mixed in with hard food on the market yet.Unless I haven't read your question right. I saw someone say kibbles and bits. How old is this dog? Edit again, I agree with the lady who said he might have bad teeth.

try to spice it up with a little gravy.or mix maybe a teaspoon of soft dog food with it but not to much could give him loose stools.

He might have bad teeth. Take him to a vet to have his teeth and gums checked. In the mean time, go to the pet store and get doggie toothpaste and a tooth brush. Follow the directions.
