Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place desired number strips of bacon on broiler pan. Cook for 10 minutes depending upon the degree of crispness desired. Prepared in this way, turning and draining are both unnecessary

Baked Bacon

1 pound thick-sliced bacon

Arrange bacon in a single layer in a 10- by 15-inch rimmed pan. Bake in a 375° regular or convection oven until browned, 17 to 25 minutes, turning slices over after 10 minutes. Transfer bacon to towels to drain; discard fat in pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Yield: Makes 4 or 5 servings.

Easy. Take a metal cooling rack (you know, like what you put baked goods on when they come out of the oven) and put it on a sheet pan. Put your bacon on the rack, and bake at 400F until crispy.

The beautiful part is that the rack allows draining of the grease.;

Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray (vegelene or PAM). Lay bacon in one layer on foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min and then check every 1-2 min after that. I like mine crisp so it takes almost 25 min. Remove bacon from foil and lay on paper towels to drain. Either save your bacon grease for other dishes or allow to cool and dispose of grease and foil at the same time after grease solidifies.

You can also lay it on a large rack over a cookie sheet but I fid that it burns easier this way and can smoke.

It really makes a HUGE mess, splattering and popping all over, causing smoke and an oven that needs to be cleaned before the next use. I'd microwave it before I baked it in a regular oven.

Same as you would anything else. Grease a sheet with pam or some oil (healthy oil), and put it in. You might want to watch it to make sure it doesn't overbake. Try broiling bacon too, that's fun. Baking it is a quick, easy way to make bacon. Less cleanup and fat than pans or Foreman grills.

Unless you want a TON of smoke I would recommend that you don't cook bacon in the oven.

Buy the precooked bacon, nuke it for 30 seconds and enjoy.
