If the capital of England is London, Does anyone know where the dead centre of London is???

It is actually in Trafalgar Square, where Whitehall meets the Strand. There is a plaque on the wall. Right opposite King Charles I's statue. All distances to London are measured from there.

Some answerers are saying it is Charing Cross. That is also correct - the site of the ORIGINAL Charing Cross, which stood at the junction of Whitehall and the Strand (as above), but the original no longer exists. The one outside the station is a replica - there are only (I believe) two or the original Eleanor's Crosses still in existence - the remaining ones are replicas. The one at Charing Cross Station was put up in the 19th Century in a different location to the original - outside the station of the same name.

Just out of interest, if you go to the opposite side of the road to the Houses of Parliament, on the wall of St Margaret's Church there is a bust of King Charles I. He is looking straight across the road to a figure on horseback - Oliver Cromwell.
