I remember my brother back in the 80's wanting to get his hair permed,
My mum and me said that we would give him a roller set to see if he liked it first and then set his hair, unfortunately he liked the result
and got it permed the next day after being warned by us not to do it
anyway when he went to wash his hair for the first time it came out to curly and my mum had to roller set his hair to make it look less curly and then taught my brother to set his hair like a woman

I know of a guy who gets his fine thin hair permed to look fuller
he looks much better for doing that
