This is a fabulous opportunity to find out things about him... Tell him that you want to get him a great b-day present but you aren't sure what to get him... have questions - favorite color; do you like to get clothes? what would you like for your birthday; if I won the lottery what would you like? Who is you favorite author; favorite cartoon; do you like shopping? would a Gift Certificate work?
Just sit and talk for an hour or so... ask all kinds of questions... it will be interesting... you can get to know him better and get an idea of what to get him. The more questions you ask, the less he will be able to guess what you are going to get him and it will still be a surprise... Blessings!

Wow! After a whole week? He is almost as lucky as having a birthday on Christmas! He shouldn't expect too much from someone he hardly even knows.....

if you've only been together for a week, a Kiss is probably sufficient.
However, I think a great gift for a guy is maybe a baseball cap, if he's into that, you know his favorite team, or maybe cologne... a friend did that once and it went through with flying colors for her guy!

don't get him alot.
maybe like a happy birthday card and a cd he likes.
or.. a card and some candy.. a card and a cologne..
a card and gift card to a store he likes.
Don't get him much though. Once your relathionship grows get him more and more each time.

If its only been a week...go with a romantic dinner...MAKE him dress up, and cook everything...pasta is easiest...and u could finish off the night with a good-night kiss

Ask his mother what his favorite "whatever" is. Get it for him - or something close/similar. He'll be both very curious as well as impressed that you got him his favorite whatever.
