the sun setting in the east is a natural happening. Regarding your jelly, take 1 packet of ROWNTREES jelly, a measuring jug such as pyrex [glass] follow the instructions for jelly making, i find the microwave recipe is good..dead easy.... Your fridge should be set at 10,buy a fridge thermometer well worth it....leave it overnight, making sure you pour the jelly into a bowl and cover with a plate... make it up when making your bedtime drink, this works nicely...

Have you ever tried filling an ice cube tray with hot water before putting it in a freezer, i think it freezes faster. try it.
Anyway, mix the jely with boiling hot water and out it in the fridge, they do take a while to set. Try spliting the jelly into two dishes to set it will be faster with less surface area.
Or you could always try turning the fridge to a colder setting.

Are you using too much water?
Are you allowing it to cool before placing in fridge?
Are you in too much of a hurry, it needs a little time to set.

That's because it sets in the west. Move the fridge.
You cook yorkshire puddings in the east where it rises.

Be sure you follow a recipe. The ratios of fruit, sugar, and pectin have to be just right for it to set up. You also need to boil it as long as it says to boil, stir as long as it says to stir. And be sure you are not re-using the sealing lids. They are for one-time use only. Buy new lids (you can re-use rings and jars.)
