We have flown extensively around the US and abroad. If you are asking for a domestic flight... in general the service at the gate and from the flight attendants seems to be about the same with all the majors (American, Delta, United, etc...) neglectful to outright rude with the very occasional nice person. We have found Continental to be much better than the rest, followed by Delta... the worst- American and Northwest. (sorry to say as I have family in the airline industry) Midwest tends to score very highly on their service, but I think generally the commuters (smaller city to city flights) tend to have better service because of their younger staffs who are still excited about their jobs and are looking to move up. The sad fact is with the cut backs based on seniority through out the airline industry especially in the majors- most of the new motivated people have been laid off and the senior people have been moved out of cushier positions to fill in, usually with long inconvenient schedules. This frustration is reflected in the way customers are treated. The best airlines for service we've found is Jet Blue, followed by Southwest. Ironic as these are discount airlines we choose to fly despite our company's willing to book full fare tickets on the majors. As far as safety- all the airlines meet very tough FAA regulations and maintenance is the real issue here.. which our domestic airlines are among the best in the world.
So your question- did you make a good decision? If you got a good deal (say a 15% savings or more) than yes- it's not like you are making more than a couple of hours commitment and the point is to get from A to B, which they will.

I fly all the time and always feel like they have the most arrogant crew members of all the major airlines. Honestly their flight attendents need someone to teach them manners, they always act like the passengers are a huge pain in the ***....

I dont comprehend yet in the journey that your infant does sit down on your lap, make particular you purchase one in each and every of those issues that ties the child TO you in case of coincidence so as that the child received't flow flying off and also you've gotten no idea the position the baby went.
