Lemon juice and cider vinegar are both supposed to have curative effects!
The various parts of the lemon used for medicinal purposes are rind of the ripe fruit, essential oil of the rind and expressed juice of the ripe fruit. A pale yellow volatile oil is derived either through distillation or by squeezing out from fresh outer part of the paricarp of the fruit. Though the oil is bitter yet it is highly valued in medicine as a flavoring agent, carminative that relives flatulence for treating gastric discomfort and stomachic that improves appetite. Rind is also both stomachic and carminative. Lemon juice, the expressed and strained juice of the ripe fruit, is valuable as antiscorbutic and refrigerant. It destroys the toxins in the body. This detoxifying property arises from its high potassium content. The germs of diptheria, typhoid and other deadly diseases are destroyed by its use. The juice also encourages bile secretion and is valuable in jaundice and gravels a condition of small stone in urinary tract. The bark of the lemon tree is used as febrifuge which prevents fever and seeds as a vermifuge which expels worms from intestine.
Amongst other things, cider vinegar is very effective in detoxicating various organs in the body together with the blood stream. Hence it is a purifier, as it has a means of breaking down fatty, mucous and phlegm deposits within the body. It therefore, promotes the health of the vital organs of the body e.g. kidneys, bladder, liver etc., by preventing an excessively alkaline urine. Cider vinegar also helps oxidate the blood which consequently prevents the blood from becorning too thick and gluey, which gives rise to a strained heart and blood vessels resulting in high blood pressure. Cider vinegar also promotes digestion, assimilation and elimination and it neutralizes any toxic substance taken into the body. There have been a number of instances where people who had taken a mixture of cider vinegar and water before a meal were unaffected by diarrhoea, or digestive upsets, whilst their companions who ate the same meal were. Hence the cider vinegar seemed to neutralize the harmful substances in the food eaten.
Apple cider vinegar has a potent supply of potassium which has become so widely acclaimed in the helping of various complaints including: running nose. Excessive mucous formation, watery eyes, sinus and catarrhal troubles. Teeth decay and the splitting of finger nails are also signs of potassium deficiency which are remedied by taking cider vinegar. Potassium is essential for the normal growth of the body and for the replacement of worn-out tissues which depend upon the presence of this mineral. It is as important to the soft tissues, as calcium is to the bones and teeth and it also retards the hardening of the blood vessels.

I know that lemon juice is excellent to drink before breakfast, lunch, evening meal, it soaks up all the fats and does wonders if you want to lose weight. Try this 1 lemon squeezed ,and drink before your meal x 3 times daily for 1 month....I lost 1 stone within a month, but I was also on a protein diet only......There is nothing wrong with things in moderation....

They are no problem. The pH in the human stomach hovers near 2.0... you would not be able to stand drinking anything nearly that acidic. Relax and drink up.

From what I've read, fresh orange juice and lemonade are pretty good for you, in moderation. I believe it is better to drink them in the mornings, and definitely not just before bed.

i cannot see any problems drinking acids such as fresh-squeezed orange juice (not concentrated, it gives acidic stomach upsets to many), or home-made, genuine, lemonaide, so long as you yourself tolerate the acid.

No, definitely not; they're a good way to burn up your esophagus and your stomach tissue!
Just make sure you don't drink them too much, and they don't have too much acid, and you'll be fine!
Hope that helps! :)

Everything in moderation. I think different people react differently. If you are overdoing it, your body will tell you.
