That is the same day I was married to my wife, this year will be our 15th anniversary. I take everday one step at a time, We have had our ups and downs, but at the end of the day we don't go to bed mad. I do believe it was more work on her part because I did not like to talk about everything with her and I would clam up. It only took like 6 years for me to say what was on my mind and I was in constant fear of losing her as my wife. I was wooped. I awoke one morning and we had a big fight. It took weeks to get past this. But I finally took the part of the relationship that I should have took a longtime ago. Since then we have had very few and very small arguments. There was things that she did wrong and she did admit to them too as I did as well. I do have only 15 years experience but I feel like I have it altogether now. I think the best thing is being able to talk to the other about what is on your mind. If he treats you in a way that you do not like in front of others then don't nail him on it in front of everyone, but do it that day while it is still fresh in his mind so he can look back and may remember what was said or how he acted and the same goes for him. I also learned that myself or my wife was perfect. People do make mistakes. People let stuff build up inside them and then when they can't take it no longer they let it all out and it is not a pretty sight. I easily let go of things that would be considered a bad memory and I hold the good ones tight. I hope I was some help, Good luck and congratulations.

Well, you've done things in the wrong order, but I am glad you are still with the dad and getting married. Young or not, you are doing the right thing for your child - to give her a family. Before you get married, though, you had better discuss the having more children thing - because that's really important. You had also better be talking about finances, religion, family - all that important stuff.
Being married is the most wonderful thing! You feel secure, loved, cared for - all the warm fuzzies. But an important thing you need to know is that it is hard work, and you always both need to keep at it. Communication is the most important thing for a couple, you should be each others best friends, and it's important to always talk things through. I wish you much luck!

I'll be married 5 yrs on Oct 20. As someone else said with the right person it's wonderful. You respect each other and love each other. Yes we've had arguments, but we saw each others side and was able to reach a compromise. It's about give and take, respect, trust and communication. If you don't trust each other or can't talk to each other then it might be rough.
Make sure you have discussed all the big things, work, religion, money, housing.
Relax and best wishes!

Not married, yet, still waiting. but I think that you truly have to know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that person. Can you picture yourself waking up to him everyday? Can you deal with his bad habits?(everybody has them)Think about your daughter, it would be the best thing for her, only if he is a great father. And make sure he isn't on drugs, in trouble with the law or associates with anyone who is, because you will also find yourself in the middle of all this trouble and you don't want to go down with him and your baby end up in states hands. Think it through and keep communication open between you and him. It isn't going to work if you can't talk to him about your thoughts and ideas ans feelings. but I'm not an expert an marriage, but I have been with the same guy for 10 years.

It's the same as it is now except that you now have the title as husband and wife. You now have a contract that says no cheating. You both become one instead of two. I just go married in september and I love it. When taking your marriage vows you vow to love each other through anything. Once married you work things out you dont just walk away. Good luck and congrats to you.

Hi Moody
Marriage is what you make of it yourself. You love this guy don't you, You know you don.t have to marry him because you already have a daughter to him. If you don't want another baby and he does why marry him. You should off told him that you are not ready for another baby just yet, then see if he still wants to marry you. Every body's marriage is different so i don't think we can comment on yours. You will love all the attention for that day of course, but your with him for the rest of your life, and yes your both very young

It's great. I've been with my husband since I was 16, now I'm 28. We were married when I was 22. I think we're lucky that we found our soul mates early. We have two kids, and we change our minds constantly if we ever want another. Some days I want another, he doesn't... then the next day he wants one and I don't. It keeps life interesting. If we have another one, it really wouldn't matter to me. One more little one to love.

Sort out your differences before the wedding. Maybe you will have another child, just a little later, you are both young and should grow towards each other first, giving yourselves time

I dated my husband for five years, and we lived together for one of those years. In all honestly, I didn't notice much of a change after we got married. Sure, we were a little more lovey-dovey, but really, moving in together was a much bigger transition for us.

Same as not being married, just with a piece of paper and a ,lot more money if you decide to leave him. If it were me, I would just stay living together. But it is your choice.
