Usually when the term 'landscape' is used in SAP projects, it's referring to aspects larger than just the HR module.

Usually it refers to the 'system landscape' or 'project landscape'. What this refers to (though it probably varies) are the systems that are available and how transports and testing is carried out.

For example, a system landscape may include a production, QA and sandbox system.
