As a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer, I can confirm that most of these answers are correct. All Cuban goods are prohibited in the U.S. and the nationality of the person bringing them in is irrelevant. I have personally seized Cuban cigars and unless you are trying to hide them from us, that is the extent of the punishment. If you try to hide the cigars and lie about whether you have them or not, then we can also tack on a monetary penalty. As a British citizen, you would probably enter the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program. If we identify you as a smuggler, your visa waiver request could be denied and you would be forced to obtain a regular visa before you could enter the U.S.

the U. S. Dept. of Justice has issued a corrective to the Cuba embargo regulation: US citizens can carry back Cuban cigars, yet in basic terms one container at a time according to individual, and for their very own use in basic terms. which potential you may not, in any way, receive any container in the rustic, yet in basic terms which you would be able to go the U. S. border with a container, ideally already opened and with a selection of of cigars smoked, to coach that the cigars are for private use.

The entire Cuban embargo is a joke.

It only hurts the cuban people, not the gov't.

No, they will probably confiscate them from you. It stinks, cause I really think the embargo on Cuba has gone one about 40 years too long myself.
