Moose are very large and can damage your hair.
If, however, you are talking about hair-mousse then it is true that mousse can damage your hair if over-used. Many types of mousse contain a mild abrasive that can weaken the hair and leave it dull. This is also true if the product contains any amount of alcohol.
Using mousse sparingly can provide the best effects. If your hair is thin, use a quality conditioner such as Paul Mitchell or Sebastian to fortify the hair. Don't make the mistake that mousse thickens hair.

Oh I think you mean mousse cause a "moose" will hurt your hair a lot. LOL!
No it won't damage the hair but rather just dry it out a little.
The best thing is to not use it too often and mainly just put it on the ends.
I guess a good clarifying shampoo will help to get it out when you need to wash it.

Mousse can damage your hair if overused. Check the ingredient list on the back. If the main ingredient is alcohol then yes, it will be very drying. Generally speaking, you can use mousse only at your roots for a lift effect. Then it's drying effects won't be over the entire hair shaft. Look for products where alcohol isn't the first ingredient.

If it has alcohol in it, it dries it, and probably causes split ends. I use a gel that is ProVitamin E Instant Repair Serum. It conditions, and keeps the style you want. For repairing the damage that the mousse did, try Dry End Serum from Avon. I even use that stuff on my hands and feet, cuz it is so fantastic!

if you use it a lot it can make your hair really stiff and oily. If it is possible try not to use moose unless you HAVE to use it so you wont damage your hair TOO much

as long as you wash it out daily it shouldn't be an issue..I have been using mouse for years now, daily, every time I shower I can feel the mouse being washed out of my hair. If you are still concerned about it get a good shampoo and conditioner...maybe even an overnight conditioner and a shower cap.

It helps to use a leave in conditioner if you are going to use it frequently. Wash it out daily and like the other posters say, avoid too much alcohol.
