Cat body language
Contentedness - Kneading with the paws on a person or, for example, a favorite blanket or sleeping spot. Young kittens knead their mother's nipples to stimulate the feeding reflex in her so that her milk flows for the kittens to suckle on. Cats may knead for a short or extended period of time, the extended period sometimes interpreted by people as a sign of discomfort or restlessness, but it is more likely the cat is happy. Most cats will demonstrate this for about ten minutes at the longest.

My male cat stomps his back feet when he is drinking water and sometimes when he is walking along he will stop and stomp his back feet. This is. A new behavior in the past few months. He is 2 years old, neutered. He stomps very hard when he does it.

because of the fact India is principally a Hindu Buddhist subculture the place all existence is respected and in Enland they have traditionally seen outdoors cats as a nuisance to be chased far off from their sources. Its the version interior the human beings not the cats. The cats are in simple terms responding to their ecosystem.

Many cats stamp their feet or "march" when they are contented or feeling affectionate. This is a throwback to when they were kittens and kneaded their mothers' tummies to encourage the flow of milk.

It thinks you are mummy. If you look at kittens when they a feeding milk from their mother they stamp. It stays with them. Some say they left their mother too soon I just think they do it as a security thing like kids can suck their thumb.

I noticed my 2 girls doing this they are about 3 and have never done it before it was just after i used front line for the first time i said to the vet about it and they said it could be the fleas going between their toes or some cats do it if their nails are too long. I don't think its a problem unless its fleas then they need treating.

They are padding which they do as a kitten to get milk from the nursing mother cat. Its a sign that they are comfortable with you though it damned well hurts sometimes.

I've never seen, a cat do what you're saaying she does.
Maybe she thinks, she's a bunny instead of a cat because they, do stomp their feet.

Or possibly, she's got an attitude of some kind, or is showing off, or displaying her dominance.

My one sister, has 3 and none of them do that. Ones male, and the other two are female.

As with polar bears on the ice, they stamp the ground to fool a mouse etc to run from a hole in the ground so it can be captured. it must be instinct.
