It says, "hey everyone, this cycle happens every 20 years, let's buy a plane ticket and get a better life. To heck with their laws, they are merely a guideline anyway."

Amnesty will send a loud clear message to the world that; AMERICA is as corrupt and greedy as any third world dictatorship in the world. Democracy be damned, America is a modern day city of Gommorah, ANYTHING is for sale at the right price, The U.S. government has wiped its rosy buttcheecks with the constitution and Lady justice has been turned out for a cheap lay. That is the message that an amnesty will send to the world.

'scamnesty' is the weak answer given by politicians who are either a) too corrupt or b) too spineless to really stand up and do their jobs...immigration reform starts with black-on-white border agreements, unilateral if need be, employer enforcement, which is happening, and hacking away at the welfare giveaway system as well until it stops being the other magnet, as WELL as doing more for border security. Everything listed above is starting to happen, but we'll never see a meaningful border agreement with Mexico, because it's hardly in their economic interest to sign such a thing...or, so it would seem, at first blush. Truth be known, Mexico COULD grow, and become more prosperous, if they abandoned the 'leech off america' economic model they seem to be using, and decided to re-engineer their own country to meet the needs of their people. But, don't hold your breath for that...

Amnesty is not fair, especially to the people that come here legally. My grandfather paid 800.00 dollars to get into this country legally. One of my friends just recently paid 9000.00 dollars to get his German wife into the country. The average green card costs about 2000.00 dollars. Giving millions of illegal aliens access to these for free is not good business. In fact, for all those bleeding hearts, it is down right STUPID.

Amnesty is not fair to anyone.
To Gwen P. below,
We are a Nation of laws we do NOT reward lawbreakers.
If someone robs the bank, we don't give back the cash after he gets out of prison.
Your talking about rewarding criminals that have already received ill-gotten-gains.
That is distorted thinking, boarder-line Communism!

Amnesty is certainly not fair, but life is not. The cost of giving amnesty will outweigh the idea of law enforcement. It is the fault of current and past administrations who have ignored the problem and selfishly preferred the benefits of cheap labor.

Amnesty is not fair, true....
But come on people, to say, "hey yeah, but, uh, life! Yeah, life isn't fair...so there..." is blatant ignorance. Use your mind, think! How is this America's fault?
If there's any blame, it lies on the administrations of the countries illegal immigrants are coming from! These countries should be responsible for getting their own citizens back out. How do higher wages and higher life qualities equate to "it's our fault" ???

what if you were the one in a poor country not able to work or live humanly? You would want to come here. Now that your here you work hard, sometimes for years, and have no benefits. Not even a drivers license, but you have taxes taken out every week . How would you feel? Would you want amnesty?

Amnesty is only fair when you fight a war, and win it. We haven't won this war yet.
