Genesis Chapter 1 says:
Gen 1:26 ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God created both Adam and Eve on the sixth day. If you look at the verses you mentioned, it give more detail about the creation. The first chapter says that God created all the animals, and then He created Adam, after which God placed Adam in the Garden. In the Garden, God recreated one each of all the animals so Adam could name them. After Adam named all the animals, God made Eve. All this was done on the sixth day, and on the seventh day, God rested from all His creation work.

I just want to say something to gwhiz 1052: Jesus said that Adam was the first man. I think the Lord would know if anyone else was on earth before Adam. And Jesus believed the accounts of Genesis, because He quoted from them 0ver 25 times.

No friend Eve was not created at the same time as Adam, the word clearly shows us a time expanse between the two. There is no timeline given. we do not know how long after Adam was created came Eve. But we do know it was long enough for God to notice that Adam was lonely and God saw that it was not good for man to be alone. This happened after the naming of the animals ect. So I imagine it was quite a time.

I like Boogey mand answer. He has insight as in he took the time to look deeper into what things. Lilith was Adam's 1st wife according to the scriptures. In either case Eve came after Adam not on the same day.
If you are looking into the bible as in you are showing interest in this subject may I suggest you research where the bible stories come from because there is a creation story documented 1000s of years prior to the bible and Man and Woman was created at the same time. It is only when Europeans got there hands on the original story that the story changed. You have to understand that in europe society women were close to worthless and when they saw the story showing Man and Woman were equal in every way they couldn't accept such a thought and amended the story.
They made woman come 2nd to man.
They made woman come from the rib of man. VERY DEMEANING.
And logically speaking if any gender was gonna be 1st it would more likely be a woman as every thing comes from woman and if anyone on earth did not then please let it be known.

The answer to this question depends, in part, on how the word "day" is being used. Both Adam and Eve were created, lived, and died in the same "day" since day can sometimes be 1,000 years long and they both died before they were 1,000 years old.

But, strictly speaking, Eve was not created at the exact time as Adam which is why the account you cited reads the way it does. Adam spent an undisclosed amount of time alone before God created Eve as his helpmate.

Yes. God made man in Gods image, male & female God made them. On the evening & morning, the 6th day. Genesis 2:18-22 happened on the 6th day. The evening, the morning, the 7th day God rested from all His Creating. Adam, Ish (male)& Isha (female) rested / had dominion / abided in Christ the 7th day.

Adam is Ish & Isha. Adam represents mankind. Ish is man and Isha is woman. Isha wasn't named Eve till after the fall. I have done a study with my Strong's Exhaustive. A dictionary of Hebrew & Greek.

A day is a period of time since the two great lights / stars were created in the 3rd or 4th day (time period).

You need to understand that Chapt. 2 v4 begins on the 6th day of creation. and from that verse begins the generations of man. this is just more detail of that day that mankind was created. read v4and you will see this.... There is debate aong those of The True Christian Faith whether or not a day then was a full 24 hr or if it was much longer.... it really dose not matter. It was what God wanted it to be then... it dose not affect the message of the Bible regarding Salvation and who and how to worship. That is what the Bible is for. It is not a history book or science text. It is more a guide for life with God. And how to get along with others untill we go home to God.... There is really nothing in The Bible of The Christian Faith for non-believers... it is not intended for them... that is why they have so many misunderstandings of it.

I don't know a thing about the Genesis, but I know for sure that God created Adam, then, at night, he put Adam to sleep, then created Eve, in the morning..therefore, Eve was not created in the same day Adam was...(At least that is written in the Bible)

Gods image long before Adam.

Genesis chapter 2 is an addendum to Genesis chapter 1. This is a common style of writing that is found throughout the Bible. For example, it is necessary to study all of Chronicles 1 & 2, Kings 1& 2, and Samuel 1& 2 in order to get a complete Biblical history of that period. In the New Testament, It is necessary to study all four Gospel accounts in order to get the complete story.

Yes.

Genesis ch. 1 gave an overview of ALL creation.
Ch. 2 begins with the Sabbath (the 7th day), and then backs up to focus and expand on the special creation of humans WHICH HAD ALREADY OCCURRED ON THE 6TH (LITERAL) DAY.

I think of it this way : I visit Australia but I particularly want to go the the Great Barrier Reef. My host shows me a map showing ALL of Australia. He then brings out another map showing in greater detail the Reef. Was the Reef in the original map? yes!
