How long does it take to send a letter from the US to the UK?

It's a manilla envelope.

It's been a few years since I last wrote to my family & sent anything snail mail US to UK.

But it used to take 8 days US -> UK and 4 days UK -> US.

depends from where to where.

NY to London can take as little as three days.

A week seems to be normal, but it could take more, I would imagine, from a remote location.
