I'm curious why simillar looking clubs have different names and is there really a difference between a 1 wood, a driver and something called a fairway driver. Thanks

A driver and 1 wood are the same, but a fairway driver has a little more loft and a shallower face cause it is designed to be hit off the ground.

A driver and a 1 wood are pretty much the same.

A fairway driver is going to have a little more loft and a different flange because it is designed to be used off the ground.

As mentioned some of the clubs you mentioned are the same. The differences in the clubs are mainly in the face of the club. The angles vary in every club giving you different trajectories. Also, clubs have different shaft lengths and weights. These deal with how fast and how powerful your golf swing can be.
