Fan only works on highest speed since last week. From research it appears this is a very common failure on these vehicles. I can find the part online so I know what it looks like, but cannot see anything that looks like that under the hood or on the firewall.

Just follow the blower motor wires resistor with four/five wires located next to the blower housing in the air flow held on with two screws. Easy job. A word of caution if the blower is worn and drawing to many amps the resistor will quickly burn out again. A battery alternator checker with inductive clamp around the blower wire will show you on high speed the amps required to turn the blower anything over 12 amps is to high.
