I was just wondering if anyone has had this, because my eye doctor recently recommended me for it. The reason I am concerned is that I am only 19. Typically, you think about older people having this done, around 30. I'm worried that my eyes might change. Anyway, if anyone has had this procedure done, could you tell me a little about it.

I considered it, too. But I heard of 3 (THREE!) different people that had issues. So now I'm scared. I only know of 5 people that had it done and I don't like the odds so far.

Two of them had some sort of allergy to the solution that they
used and woke up on day 2 like they were 'looking underwater'. Yikes! Recently corrected I guess, but still.

Then the guy that works at my post office had it done and he has to go back again because the sensitivity to light is unbearable. He has to wear sunglasses indoors until they fix him.
So, I guess it's daily contacts for me (for life.)

Hello dear!
I had this operation 5 years ago. Initially I was not seeing well, since I got the operation to cure: Myopia, Presbyopia and Astigmatism. Now, and even from the beginning I have been satisfied.
I was operated at VEMMO, which is in Heracleion, Crete, Greece. The founder and director of VEMMO, and recent President of the University of Crete, with departments in 7 locations/ cities, he "invented" the newest, safest, and less troubled method!

My brother and my boss had it. It's a simple lasic eye surgery, on the same day you can go home and see already better. My boss was really happy about it, her vision was terrible. My brother had problems for half a year. He was not feeling right and he couldn't see well. So, my suggestion would be, if you are still OK being with glasses or contacts and your vision is not really bad i would suggest to wait.

My wife had this. No pain...but takes some time to cure...the eye will be reddish and you have to apply eye ointment until it is totally healed. Age doesn't matter for this lazer treatment.
