I am in church. My house is my church where I can worship when I like and as often as I like. I am free to read the scriptures as often as I like on whatever day I like and come to my own conclusion as to it's meaning instead of simply buying into what someone else believes and not questioning it for myself. I can have fellowship here in this forum. And I can try to win people over to God by my faith. Or I can simply debate with a nonbeliever calmly and hopefully hold up God's side of the argument with intelligence and tolerance.

I am thinking that Jesus told us that the kingdom of the father was in each and every one of us.

This means that He is not to be found on a far off cloud called heaven or in a building called a church.

He can only be found where Jesus predicted he would be.

For this reason we should avoid these places where people pretend God is and turn within to find Him exactly where Jesus predicted he could be found.

Unless of course you feel that brother Jesus was wrong about this.

Only times I step into a church is for weddings and funerals. I am an agnostic so I don't feel the need to put myself through that Sunday after Sunday.

Says here you were here just 18 minutes ago yourself, and so the question is back at you.

The answer, for me, is that I am a heathen: a pagan.

Well you just called me a heathen. Didn't you answer your own question?

Reminds me of a conversation with my 4 year old:

"Mommy, my sister has her eyes open during prayer"

"Well honey, how did you know that?"

"I had my eyes open too"

So I'll ask you the same thing .... why aren't YOU in church this morning?

My Calvinist ancestors are probably turning in their graves but this is the 21st century and theology and worship aren't the focal points of my life.
