Riiiight. We could have had paradise if we had just obeyed orders and kept our mouths shut.

I think that's highly unlikely.

The tree of knowledge is the tree of carnal knowledge. Eve became pregnant after eating the fruit and both parties became embarassed by their nudity and went to cover up the bodies with leaves. Hence, in the Catholic faith, all babies are born with the original sin as they are produced by a sexual encounter. Jesus, on the other hand, was conceived through an immaculate union hence was the only human being born without the original sin. So to answer your question, the tree of knowledge is here on earth...no tree of knowledge necessary in heaven.

Well, the tree of knowledge of good and bad, although a literal tree, represented God's right to determine what was good and bad, what was acceptable and unacceptable. Thus Adam and Eve were tested as to whether they would submit to God's righteous rule. But by taking this fruit, Adam and Eve rejected God's right to set the standards and announced that they wanted to determine for themselves. This behavior continues today. People do not want to submit to God's way - they want autonomy at every level.

But those who attain to heavenly life have already proved that they submit to God's will and right. Therefore, there is no need for them to be tested in this regard.

Hi Eggs

The tree of knowledge of good and evil Has no place in heaven. The story that it is found in is a metaphor for judgment.

Judgment of some of Gods gifts to us as bad and others as good is what keeps us running in circles looking for peace in the physical reality.

In heaven we are aware that everything that God gives us is perfect. So the tree would just look silly in this context.

Love and blessings Don

I can say confidently that right this minute the infamous tree of knowledge of good and evil; aka: Lucifer; Serpent; Devil; False Prophet; anti-christ; etc. is in Heaven and is being guarded by the angel Michael. Its in the volume of the Book.><>

No, I don't think it will be there .... Adam ate of it and we now have the knowledge of Good and Evil. So we already have it, if we eat from the tree again, it'll be to have an apple for a snack lol

It's just a story. Heaven doesn't exist. For more information on the source of the Adam and Eve story, check out "101 Myths of the Bible" (See link)
