get aim today to stop coming up.?

I unchecked the box saying AIM Today at startup and it still keeps coming up!!!! it is So annoying!!!!

Open Registry (regedit) and search for key openaimtodaywindow. Right-click on it and select Modify. Change 1 to 0.

lol i want to respond to the answers so i logged onto another account i am lhamil64.
i tried the regedit thing but when i search it does not come up with the results it just says Finished Searching Registry Data

please help it is very very annoying.
