"Pardoner" is the name for the person who held a mediaeval church office. It was the official who granted remission of sins on behalf of the Pope after having obtained an indulgence. The office is obsolete.

There is only one who can pardon you for your sins and that is Jesus Chirist and He does not ask you for any money, He just asks you to believe in Him.
