this is why each of us have free will. we can gain wisdom and knowledge after which one can make their own mind up as to whether or not they want to believe or not without being forced

Not to believe, without a doubt! How can you believe in something that has yet to be proved just because somebody wrote a book 2000 years ago? Religion has caused far more problems than it was ever designed to solve. 9/11, 7/7, the news such as the Jack Straw story and the story about the woman suspended from work for refusing to hide her crucifix are all examples of why one shouldn't believe, and why religion should be abolished at all costs!

It is only confusing if you think about what it says.

Stop trying to think logically about what you are being told and you will be just fine.

Belief in something this contradictory requires a complete absence of thought, so just stop thinking.

Or try something that is never contradictory like the true teachings of Jesus. They can be found in a book called the course in miracles.

One requires that you don't think. The other teaches you to question everything that you have ever been told and keep only what makes sense.

I chose thinking rather than blindly believing confusing contradictory nonsense.

***Is christianity confusing ? To believe or not to believe?***
Christianity is not confusing at all.
When a person is contemplating becoming a Christian, something wonderful is happening in the background. Our Heavenly Father is leading His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to you so you can choose to accept Him or not.

God is not the author of confusion. If you make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and repent of your sins you become a new person in Christ Jesus. That means that you have accepted the death of Jesus Christ on the cross for your own death.

Now comes the really good part. God's Spirit, the Holy Spirit causes you to become hungry and thirsty. You need and want to satisfy this hunger, this hunger for the Word of God. that's how you gain faith.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word of God. Confusion is a tool that Satan uses. You're not confused any longer. Satan fears the power Jesus has given you to use against him.><>

No Christianity is not confusing. It takes more than a cursory glance, to be sure, but it is not really confusing. Emotion is involved (one must love God) but also logic and reasoning are involved. Thus, the apostle Paul admonishes us at Romans 12:1 to present our sacred service to God with our power of reason. The Greek word here rendered "reason" is one from which we derive the English word logic. We cannot serve God solely with cold reasoning. Neither can we serve him acceptably with emotion only. Most people try to serve with emotion and toss reason and logic aside. According to Paul's words, that is impossible.

As we all know Christianity is the religion of God, we strictly follow all the good teachings and stay away from all the prohibitions. The most common error of mankind is "seeing is believing" but how about the invisible wind, yet people strongly
believed wind exist. God never forces his creations to believe
in his religion, only those who could visualize his existence not through their naked eyes but through their hearts will be accepted in his religions. THOSE WHO RECOGNIZE THEMSELVES WILL KNOW THE GOD but not otherwise.
We are all made up of "air, water, fire and and earth" , fire in the form of blood and earth in the form of flesh. To believe or not
will depend on how much you could visual his existence.

you will have outside influence telling you Christianity is nothing more than stories, and fanatics.
Keep working at it.. reading more of God's word, every day. The best bible I have found for myself, regarding this, is the
iworship daily devotional bible - nlt - integrity.. hardcover. Why hardcover? I need to be able to have it with me, and it seems hardcover is able to handle most everything that comes its way .. like grandkids

Once you get started, and keep at it.. it does get easier, and you're able to see more and more of the truth.
